Renewal agreement: Effective May 31, 2017, to Aug. 31, 2018. Ratified on May 31, 2017. Signed on Oct. 12, 2017.
Shift premium: $0.51 per hour for work that begins later than 2 p.m. but no later than 10 p.m. $1.01 per hour for work that begins later than 10 p.m. and finishes before 7:30 a.m.
Paid holidays: 12 days, plus 2 floater days. One-half day on last working day before Christmas except for school-based clerical and educational assistants staff.
Vacations with pay: 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 5 years, 25 days after 15 years, 30 days after 20 years. Employees who have 20 or more vacation days may bank days, once every 2 years, maximum 10 days. 
Overtime: Time and three-quarters for all work after regular hours. May be taken as time off, maximum 5 working days.
Meal allowance: $20 after more than 3 hours of overtime immediately following regular shift. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Alberta Health Care Plan.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Employer will provided health-spending account of $480 per year. 
Sick leave: 1.5 days per month, maximum 18 days for first year. 60 days credit thereafter. 
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of parent, wife, husband, common-law spouse, brother, sister, child, stepchild, foster-child, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, aunts, uncles, former guardian, ward, or fiancé(e). Additional 4 days for travel, if needed. 1 day to attend funeral as pallbearer. 
Seniority – recall rights: 2 years. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours at overtime rate plus additional 30 pay for travelling time.
Probationary period: 80 working days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.
Severance: 1 week per year, maximum 5 weeks for first 5 years of service; 2 weeks per year, maximum 10 weeks for next 5 years of service; 3 weeks per year, maximum 15 weeks for next 5 years of service. Overall maximum: 30 weeks. 
Safety shoes: $120 per year for boots in compliance with Canadian standards. 
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply smocks, coveralls. Employer will reimburse employees who need bathing suit for gym and swim program, $60 per year.

Editor’s notes: On-call: 1 hour pay at straight time per day for days when employee is required to be on call. Northern-living allowance: $3,605 per year, paid over 20 pay periods from September to June.
