Provincewide, Manitoba (300 workers, security guards) and the United Food and Commercial Workers Canada (CtW/CLC)

Renewal agreement: Effective March 24, 2016, to Sept. 30, 2019. Signed on April 13, 2016.
Shift premium: $1.40 per hour for guarding psychiatric patient. $1 per hour for personal bodyguard duties or strike services. $3 per hour if guard has to use a car for shelter ($3.50 per hour from Oct. 1 to April 30).
Paid holidays: 9 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks to start, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 9 years, 5 weeks after 16 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half beyond 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week unless provided for by an averaged work schedule. Double time if worker is recalled after returning home after completing a normally scheduled shift.
Meal allowance: $10 if required to work 2 hours or more beyond regular shift time.
Medical, dental benefits: Benefit premiums shared between company and employees.
Sick leave: 5 hours for every 173 hours worked up to a maximum of 80 hours.
Bereavement leave: 3 paid days for death of spouse, child, parent, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, in-law, or guardian. Up to 3 additional unpaid days if travel more than 200 kilometres outside Winnipeg is required. 1 paid day and up to 3 unpaid days for death of niece, nephew, aunt, uncle or other relative living with employee at time of death.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours.
Probationary period: 90 days.
Safety shoes: $125 per year.
Uniforms/clothing: Company provides 1 jacket/blazer, 1 tie, 3 pairs of paints and 5 shirts for full-time employees, 2 pairs of pants and 3 shirts for part-time employees. Parka, rain gear, sweaters, dress shorts, hard hats, reflective vests, safety glasses and ear protection where required.
Tool allowance: Company supplies equipment such as flashlights, radios, etc., in good working order.
Mileage: $0.40 per hour or corporate rate, whichever is greater, for work required by the company, or outside of Winnipeg perimeter highways.

(current, after 5.5%, 5.5% and 5% increases, calculated by CLR): Mobile patrol: $12.50 to start, $13.50  after 1 year; $13.25 to start, $14 after 1 year; $14 to start, $14.75 after 1 year; $14.75 to start, $15.50 after 1 year
Editor’s notes: Meeting attendance: When a worker is required to attend a meeting, time spent will be time paid. Criminal record check: If employed for 9 or more years, 50% of the cost to complete check is reimbursed by the company. Substance abuse: Employee may request a medical leave of absence maximum 37 weeks, to deal with a substance abuse problem, without loss of seniority. Seniority premiums: An additional $0.25 per hour for 5, 10, 15 years of service.
