Provincewide, Ontario (750 guards, mechanics, drivers) and Teamsters Canada, Locals 419 and 879

Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2017, to April 30, 2021. Signed on Sept. 1, 2017.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective May 1, 2017: $0.60 per hour
Effective May 1, 2018: $0.80 per hour
Effective May 1, 2019: $0.60 per hour
Effective May 1, 2020: $0.60 per hour
Shift premium: $1 per hour for all hours worked when scheduled shift falls between 12:01 a.m. and 2:59 a.m. $1 per hour for each shift worked as trainer.
Paid holidays: 10 days, plus 1 floater day. 
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 10 days or 4% to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 11 years, 5 weeks after 18 years, 6 weeks after 25 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week for 5-day-per-week employees. Time and one-half for all work after 10 hours per day or 40 hours per week for 4-day-per-week employees. Time and one-half for all work after 12 or 13 hours per day or 40 hours per week for 3-day-per-week employees. 
Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $610 per month per full-time bargaining unit employee into Teamsters Benefits Programme Trust Fund.
Vision: $350 per 12-month period for persons younger than 18; $350 per 24-month period for persons 18 or older. Maximum $80 every 24 months for eye examinations.
Paramedical: Charges, including X-ray charges, for listed paramedical practitioners are covered, maximum $2,000 per year per family for all practitioners combined.
LTD: 70% of monthly earnings, maximum $3,000 per month.
AD&D: 2-times basic annual earnings, maximum $150,000.
Life insurance: 2-times basic annual earnings, maximum $500,000.
Pension: DC or DB plan, based on hire date.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (parents, spouse’s parents, stepparents, spouse, grandparents, spouse’s grandparents, children, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren).
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months or length of service, whichever is less. 
Probationary period: 1,040 hours of work. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Severance: 4 weeks’ notice or notice under Employment Standards Act, whichever is greater; 1 week’s pay per year of service, maximum 26 weeks after 5 years of service.
Safety shoes: $175 per year. 
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will furnish and pay for uniform equipment for employees as required. All employees are obligated to wear uniforms provided by employer while on duty. All uniform items, including shirts, will be replaced on 1-to-1 basis only when deemed appropriate by management.

Editor’s notes: Standby: $60 flat rate. Employees cannot be on standby for longer than 10-hour period. If employee is called into work, employee will not be paid standby rate, only hours worked. Overnight allowance: $15 for breakfast, $20 for lunch, $25 for dinner for over-road operations which are overnight or out for more than 1 day. Insurance: Employer will provide $100,000 of felonious-assault insurance for all employees. Orthopedic shoes: 1 pair per year, maximum $300.
