Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 18, 2012, to Sept. 19, 2016

Shift premium: 25¢ per hour premium for work done on Saturday and Sunday. 50¢ per hour for all time worked between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. $1 per hour for all time worked between 7 p.m. and 4:45 a.m. $1 per hour for all time worked between 4:45 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Paid holidays: 16 days.

Vacations with pay: 44 hours after 1 year of seniority, 88 hours after 3 years, 108 hours after 5 years, 128 hours after 10 years, 148 hours after 15 years and 188 hours after 20 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Time and one-half for all hour worked on the 6th day of work. Double time for all hours worked on the 7th day of work.

Bereavement leave: 4 days for employee’s spouse, parent, child, brother or sister. 3 days for employee’s stepparent, grandparent, stepchild, grandchild, stepbrother, half brother, stepsister, half sister, spouse’s parent, spouse’s stepparent, spouse’s grandparent, son-in-law or daughter-in-law.

Seniority – recall rights: 18 months to start. 3 years for employees with 1 year of seniority.

Probationary period: 90 days.

Safety shoes: $100 per year.

Tool allowance: $135.

Editor’s notes: Relocation allowance: $3,000 for employees moving to a plant 80-159 km away. $3,300 for employees moving to a plant 160-479 km away. $3,600 for employees moving to a plant 480-799 km away. $3,900 for employees moving 800-1,599 km away. $4,200 for employees moving to a plant more than 1,600 km away. Cost-of-living allowance: 33¢ per hour. Gender neutral agreement language: The parties agreed, during negotiations, to continue the process of converting the language in the collective agreement from the masculine gender to gender neutral. Tuition assistance: Up to $1,300 per eligible child per year. Pregnancy leave: 17 weeks. Minute of silence: Every year on April 28 at 11 a.m. a minute of silence will be observed in memory of employees who have died in industrial accidents.
