Renewal agreement: Effective March 21, 2017, to Sept. 30, 2018. Signed on July 6, 2017.
Shift premium: $2 per hour for all hours worked between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. $2 per hour for all hours worked between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. only to NU employees in St-Anne-de-Bellevue Hospital. $2 per hour for work on Saturday and Sunday. $3.50 per day when packaging and labelling dangerous goods for shipping, maximum $75 per month where employee maintains such certification.
Paid holidays: 10 days. 1 additional day that is recognized to be provincial or civic holiday in area in which employee is employed or in any area where no such day is recognized as provincial or civic holiday.
Vacations with pay: 9.38 hours per month to start, 12.5 hours per month after 8 years, 13.75 hours per month after 16 years, 14.4 hours per month after 17 years, 15.63 hours per month after 18 years, 16.88 hours per month after 27 years, 18.75 hours per month after 28 years. Time may be carried over. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regularly scheduled hours. Double time after more than 7.5 hours of overtime in any contiguous period or work on second or subsequent day of rest. May be taken as leave or will be paid out by Sept. 30 of each year. 
Meal allowance: $12, except where free meals are provided, after 3 or more hours of overtime immediately following scheduled hours. Additional $12 after 4 more hours of overtime. 
Sick leave: 9.38 hours per month. 
Bereavement leave: 7 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, stepfather, stepmother, foster-parent, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister, spouse, common-law partner resident with employee, child, child of common-law partner, grandchild, grandparent, stepchild, foster-child, ward of employee, father-in-law, mother-in-law, any relative residing in employee’s household). Additional 3 days for travel if required. 1 day for death of son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent of spouse.
Call-in pay: Greater of minimum 3 hours’ pay at applicable overtime or compensation at applicable overtime rate for each hour worked (does not apply to DE, MD groups). 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.
Severance: First layoff: 2 weeks’ pay; 3 weeks’ pay for employees with 10 or more years of employment; 4 weeks’ pay for employees with 20 or more years of employment, plus 1 week’s pay for each additional year of employment. On second or subsequent layoff, 1 week’s pay for each year of employment.
