Renewal agreement: Effective March 31, 2018, to March 31, 2020. Signed on March 31, 2018.
Wage adjustments:

Shift premium: $2.30 per hour for each hour employee works between 4 p.m. on 1 day and 8 a.m. following day. $2.55 per hour for each hour employee works between 12:01 a.m. Saturday and midnight Sunday.
Paid holidays: 9 days, plus 1 additional day. 
Vacations with pay: 1 2/3 days per month of service to start, 4 weeks after 1 year, 5 weeks after 10 years, 6 weeks after 25 years. For 12-hour shift workers: 12.5 hours for each 162.5 hours of service to start, 150 hours after 1,950 hours, 187.5 hours after 19,500 hours, 225 hours after 48,750 hours.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 12 hours per day or 150 hours per 4-week period. May be taken as compensatory, maximum 37.5 hours; will be paid out if not taken within 60 days of overtime worked. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums. 
Vision: Coverage at 80%, maximum $70, for eye examinations performed by ophthalmologist or optometrist where medicare plan does not cover such services. 100% of maximum covered expenses of $150 for single-vision lenses and frames, $200 for bifocal lenses and frames, $250 for trifocal and progressive adaptive lenses and frames every 3 years. 100% of maximum covered expense of $250 every 2 years for contact lenses when prescribed for severe corneal scarring, keratoconus or aphakia and if cornea is impaired so that visual acuity cannot be improved to at least 20/40 level in better eye with eyeglasses. 1 pair of eyeglasses when prescribed by ophthalmologist following non-refractive eye surgery, to 100% of lifetime covered eligible expense of $200. 50% of cost of visual training or remedial therapy.
Sick leave: 15 hours for each 162.5 hours of service. Maximum 3,600 working hours for sick leave during any 20-year period of service; 1,800 for employees hired after May 4, 2004.
AD&D: Coverage of 2 times annual salary.
Life insurance: Coverage of 2 times annual salary, minimum $10,000, maximum $1,000,000.
Pension: Public Service Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of mother, father, brother, sister, child, spouse, common-law spouse, legal guardian, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, father-in-law, mother-in-law, near-relative living in same household. 1 day for death of son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. Additional 30 hours for funeral outside of province. Additional 15 hours where extraordinary circumstances prevail.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours at overtime rate. Employee will be paid for cost of transportation to and from place of work, maximum $8.50 or appropriate mileage for each callback.
Probationary period: 975 working hours. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Severance: Number of years of employment multiplied by weekly salary, maximum 20 weeks’ pay.
Mileage: $0.315 per kilometre.

Parking facilities: Where practical, employer will provide adequate facilities for employees to park vehicles during working hours. Travel meals: $43.70 for travel on island and Labrador ($8 for breakfast; $14 for lunch; $21.70 for dinner). $50.20 for travel outside province and in U.S. ($10.15 for breakfast; $16.40 for lunch; $23.65 for dinner). $55.20 for all other travel ($11.25 for breakfast; $17.95 for lunch; $26 for dinner). Automobile allowance: When employee is required, as condition of employment, to have automobile at employee’s disposal, employee will be paid $85 per month; $0.454 per kilometre for the first 9,000 kilometres per year, $0.315 per kilometre for kilometres in excess of 9,000 kilometres per year (previously $0.315 per kilometre). Private accommodations: $25 per night when employee provides own accommodations while travelling on employer’s business; $5 per night for incidental expenses; $10 per week for parking expenses. Personal loss: Employer will compensate employee for any personal loss suffered in performance of duties, maximum $600.
