Renewal agreement: Effective Dec. 1, 2016, to Nov. 30, 2020. Ratified on April 22, 2017. Signed on April 22, 2017. 
Shift premium: $1 per hour (previously $0.95 per hour) for employees working regular shifts starting before 5 a.m. or ending after 6 p.m. $1.25 per hour for lead hands. $1 per hour for each hour spent as certified forklift trainer. $0.54 per hour for employees working single shift ending between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 16 years, 4 weeks plus 2 days or 8.8% after 17 years, 4 weeks plus 3 days or 9.2% after 18 years, 4 weeks plus 4 days or 9.6% after 19 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 20 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 25 years. After 5 years of service, employee may carry over 1 week to following year. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all time worked in excess of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week or 40 hours per week. Double time for overtime in excess of 3 hours per day or 8 hours per week. Double time for all work on Sunday.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of B.C. Medical Plan.
Dental: Employer contributes $0.77 per hour (previously $0.60 per hour) to UFCW Dental Plan.
Vision: $250 every 24 months.
Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 
Sick leave: 5 days per year. If employee doesn’t take sick day, employer will pay out 2 days at end of year on regular payroll cycle.
AD&D: Employee contributes $9 per month for coverage of 2 times salary.
Life insurance: Employee contributes $9 per month for coverage of 2 times salary.
Pension: Employer contributes $0.87 per hour (previously $0.82 per hour) to compulsory pension plan to be determined by union. Effective Dec. 1, 2018: $0.92 per hour.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, parents, siblings, children, grandparents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, stepparents, stepchildren.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 
Probationary period: 60 working days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Severance: 1 week’s pay per year of service. 1.5 week’s pay per year of service, after 15 years of service. 
Safety shoes: $150 per year for employees with seniority. 
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 9% increase):
3 months: $17.95 rising 3 steps to $19.73
6 months: $18.40 rising 3 steps to $20.18
9 months: $18.74 rising 3 steps to $20.52
12 months: $19.10 rising 3 steps to $20.88
15 months: $19.45 rising 3 steps to $21.23
18 months: $19.82 rising 3 steps to $21.60
21 months: $20.28 rising 3 steps to $22.06
24 months: $21.15 rising 3 steps to $22.93
Editor’s notes: Training fund: Employer will contribute $0.04 per hour (previously $0.03 per hour) to UFCW Education and Training Development Fund.
