Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2015, to Dec. 31, 2019. Signed on Jan. 1, 2015.

Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2015: 2.4%
Effective Jan. 1, 2016: 2.4%
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 2.5%
Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 2.75%

Shift premium: 75¢ per hour for work done from a swinging stage, bosun’s chair or climbing without staging at a height of 30 feet or more. 75¢ per hour for work done using a spray gun or Triple A paint. 75¢ per hour for work done to cover regularly scheduled cleaning of fenders out of water, of furnaces in Pier 9 and 20, of shed gutters, of catch pits, for out-of-water boat maintenance and for piers being cleaned as a result of gutter and catch basin work.

Paid holidays: 12 days.

Vacations with pay: 3 weeks after 3 years of seniority, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 17 years and 6 weeks after 30 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work done outside of regularly scheduled hours. Double time for all hours worked on Saturday or Sunday. Double time for all work done during meal hours.

Meal allowance: $13.50 after 3 or more hours of overtime.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Sick leave: 10 hours per month worked to a maximum of 10 days.

Bereavement leave: 4 days for employee’s father, mother, brother, sister, spouse, child, father-in-law, mother-in-law, stepparent, stepchild, stepbrother, stepsister or relative permanently residing with the employee. 3 days for the employee’s grandparent, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law or grandchild. 2 additional days may be granted for the purpose of travel.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at time and one-half.

Probationary period: 6 months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 15 months.

Severance: 4 weeks’ pay for the employee’s first year of seniority and 2 weeks’ pay for each subsequent year of seniority to a maximum of 52 weeks’ pay when an employee is laid off. 1/2 week’s pay per year of seniority to a maximum of 26 weeks when an employee resigns. 1 week’s pay per year of seniority to a maximum of 28 weeks when an employee retires.

Editor’s notes: Family care: 2 paid days to provide for the temporary care of a sick member of the employee’s family. Up to 2 days may be granted for the purpose of travel.
