Renewal agreement: Effective Nov. 1, 2017, to Oct. 31, 2021. Signed on June 18, 2018.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Nov. 1, 2017: $0.25 per hour
Effective Nov. 1, 2018: 2%
Effective Nov. 1, 2019: 2%
Effective Nov. 1, 2020: 2%
Shift premium: $1 per hour for all work outside 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Paid holidays: 12 days. 
Vacations with pay: 1.25 days per month to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 6 years, 5 weeks after 13 years, 6 weeks after 20 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regular hours, double time after 4 hours of overtime. Time and one-half for all work on first day of rest, double time after 7 hours. Double time for all work on second day of rest. May be banked as time off in lieu. Any banked time in excess of 70 hours must be taken by March 1 of each year or it will be paid out. 
Meal allowance: $10 for employees who work unscheduled overtime in excess of 2 hours which is continuous with regular shift or in excess of 4 hours.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums. Employer will provide mandatory group medical plan for all permanent employees. Employees will pay 10%, maximum $10, for each prescription.
Dental: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums. 
Vision: 100% coverage, maximum $400 every 24 months (eye exam included) and reimbursement for eye examinations and prescription glasses or contact lenses. 80% coverage, maximum $1,000 per person per year for major restorative dental services.
Paramedical: $500 per year for practitioners such as chiropractors, podiatrists, chiropodists, registered massage therapists. $500 per year for physiotherapy.
Sick leave: 1.5 days per month. Maximum accumulation of 150 days.
LTD: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums. Coverage for first 24 months at 66.66% of earnings; maximum 85% of employee’s pre-disability monthly wage, maximum $4,000 per month. Coverage will include COLA, maximum 3%.
AD&D: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums. Coverage of 2 times annual wages.
Life insurance: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums. Coverage of 2 times annual wages.
Pension: Halifax Regional Municipality Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, child, parents, siblings, parents-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren. 3 days for death of aunt, uncle, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparents-in-law. 1 day for funeral for death of any relative not listed. 
Seniority – recall rights: 24 consecutive months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at regular rate or for all time worked at appropriate overtime rate, whichever is greater. Pay commences when employee reports to work.
Probationary period: 180 calendar days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 30 months. Records of confirmed instances of sexual harassment, sexual assault and sexual abuse or discipline arising out of criminal conviction will remain on employee’s file.
Severance: 4 weeks for every year of service, maximum 65 weeks.
Uniforms/clothing: Employees required to wear safety clothing will have clothing, gear and safety equipment provided by employer. For employees required to wear arc-rated flash clothing, employer will provide such clothing at no cost. All clothing will be made in Canada and will be union-made where possible.
Mileage: $0.46 per kilometre to attend training or meetings.

Editor’s notes: Withdrawal of resignation: Employee who resigns from employment will be entitled to withdraw resignation within 2 working days of having submitted resignation. Professional-association fees: Employer will pay annual dues or membership fees of professional associations of any employees who are required to maintain membership to fulfill job qualifications. Standby pay: 1 additional hours’  pay per day for employees on standby on regular work day; 2 additional hours per day for employee on standby on day of rest or holiday.
