Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 2, 2014, to Oct. 1, 2019. Signed on Aug. 10, 2015.

Wage adjustments:
Effective Oct. 1, 2014: 4.5% for security and 2.25% for all other employees
Effective Oct. 1, 2015: 2.5%
Effective Oct. 1, 2016: 2.5%
Effective Oct. 1, 2017: 2.5%
Effective Oct. 1, 2018: 3%

Shift premium: 55¢ per hour for security officers working the afternoon shift. $1 per hour for all other employees working the afternoon shift. 55¢ per hour for employees working the weekend shift. $2.50 premium for lead-hand fire officer, lead-hand airport operations specialist, lead-hand equipment operator and lead-hand security officer.

Paid holidays: 10 days.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 16 years and 6 weeks after 25 years.

Overtime: Time and three-quarters.

Meal allowance: $12 after 2 hours of overtime.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for employee’s spouse, child, stepchild, foster child, parent, foster parent, adopted parent, parent-in-law, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent or grandchild. 1 day for employee’s aunt, uncle, nephew or niece. Additional 5 unpaid travelling days when the ceremony takes place outside of the province.

Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.

Probationary period: 6 months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides safety clothing as required, including rain pants, rubber boots, safety helmets, gloves, safety glasses and ear protection.

Tool allowance: Up to $750 per employee.

Mileage: 50¢ per km for the first 5,000 km per year and 46¢ per km thereafter.

Airport motor mechanic: $34.48
Airport motor mechanic apprentice: $32.91
Airport motor mechanic helper: $31.40
Airport equipment operator/maintenance person: $28.76
Airport fire officer: $32.40
Airport operations specialist: $31.74
Security officer: $18.54
Senior lead hand, airside operations: $34.92

Editor’s notes: Standby: 2 hours of pay per standby shift. 4 hours of pay on Saturday, Sunday or statutory holidays. 1 hour of pay for employees required to perform call-out duties while on standby. Marriage: 3 paid days for employee’s marriage. 1 unpaid day for marriage of employee’s child, brother or sister. Citizenship: 1 paid day for the formal hearing to become a Canadian citizen. Birthday: 1 paid day for employee’s birthday. Flood or fire: 3 unpaid days for serious fire or flood in employee’s home. Domestic emergency: 1 unpaid day. Graduation: 1 unpaid day for graduation of employee, employee’s spouse or employee’s dependent.
