Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2015, to Dec. 31, 2017. Signed in August 2015.

Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2015: $1 per hour
Effective Jan. 1, 2016: $1.75
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: $1.25

Paid holidays: 11 days. Time and one-half for shifts on a statutory holiday.

Vacations with pay: 10 days after 1 year, 11 days after 2 years, 12 days after 3 years, 13 days after 4 years, 15 days after 5 years, 16 days after 7 years, 17 days after 9 years, 18 days after 11 years, 19 days after 13 years, 21 days after 15 years, 22 days after 20 years, 23 days after 21 years, 24 days after 22 years, 25 days after 23 years.

Medical benefits: Up to $500 per employee for smoking cessation programs, effective upon ratification. Up to $250 per year, covered at 50% for chiropractic, orthotic and registered massage therapy. Previously $150.

Vision: Up to $250 every 2 years for prescription lenses, frames and contact lenses. Employer to cover cost of eye examination every 2 years.

STD: $120 per day for up to 52 weeks. Previously $90 per day.

Pension: Basic benefit per month per year of service: $55.50, up from $54, effective upon ratification. $57.50 effective Jan. 1, 2016, $59.50 effective Jan. 1, 2017. Payable for employees at age 58 with at least 30 years of service.

Sample rates of pay, current:
Mechanical trades helper: $28.14 per hour
Industrial mechanic: $31.53
Utilities serviceman: $34.07

Editor’s notes: Apprentice bonus: $500 per term for an apprentice’s books, travel and other expenses, up from $300.
