Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2017, to March 31, 2020. Ratified on Sept. 22, 2017. Signed on Dec. 1, 2017.
Shift premium: $1.15 per hour for shifts starting between 2 p.m. and 4 a.m.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 12 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for first 10 hours worked on Saturday, double time thereafter.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for company health plan.
Pension: Employer will contribute $3.75 per hour (previously $2.35 per hour) worked to money-purchase pension plan, on behalf of each full-time and part-time employee who has completed 12 months of employment.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family.
Seniority – recall rights: 6 months with less than 3 years of seniority, 12 months with more than 3 years of seniority.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours’ pay if employee works or 2 hours’ pay at regular rate of pay, if employee does not work.
Probationary period: 90 days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months, 24 months for major safety infractions.
Safety shoes: $170 per year (previously $150 per year) for CSA-approved safety work boots provided employee works for 90 days following date of payment.
