Provincewide, Alberta (130 technicians, mechanics, apprentices) and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), Local 99

Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2017, to March 31, 2020. Ratified on March 30, 2017. Signed on March 30, 2017.
Shift premium: 1% to journeyman mechanic when mentoring apprentice.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 3 or 4 stat holidays per year may be banked.
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks after 2 years, 3 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 20 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
Meal allowance: $14 when overtime work for more than 2 hours if performed immediately before or after regular shift.
Medical benefits: Employees pay 100% of premiums for Alberta Health Care insurance. Employer pays 100% of premiums for Kal Tire Bronze Plan, after 1 year of service. 
Dental: Kal Tire Bronze plan.
Vision: Employer will pay costs of 1 pair of safety lenses and frames excluding any expenses for any photo-grading or tinting of such lenses or any non-standard frames. Employer will pay for 1 eye examination, every 2 years. 
LTD: Coverage of 66 2/3%, maximum $5,000 per month. 
Pension: All employees will be enrolled in RSP after 2 years of service. Employers will make 5% contribution, once per year. Employees will contribute 2%.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, parents, grandparents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, or their spouses, nieces, nephews, stepchildren).
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay.
Probationary period: 3 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year.
Severance: 1 week’s pay after 3 months of service, 2 weeks’ pay after 2 years or service, 4 weeks’ pay after 4 years of service, 5 weeks’ pay after 6 years of service, 6 weeks’ pay after 8 years of service, 8 weeks’ pay after 10 years of service. 
Safety shoes: $250 per year for safety boots and boot-related accessories.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply sufficient coveralls to employees. Employer will supply winter clothing for employees working outside.
Tool allowance: 3% or $0.75 per hour for mechanics, apprentices. Employer will supply tool insurance coverage of $40,000.
