Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2014, to June 30, 2018. Signed on May 19, 2015.

Wage adjustments:

Effective 1st day of fall term 2015: 2%

Effective 1st day of fall term 2016: 2%

Effective 1st day of fall term 2017: 1.5%

Effective 1st day of fall term 2018: 1.5%

Sick leave: 20 days. May accumulate up to 130 days.

Life insurance: 200% of basic salary. Premiums shared equally between teachers and employer.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for spouse, common-law spouse, same-gender spouse, child, grandchild, immediate family member living in household, parent, parent-in-law. 2 days for grandparent. 3 days for brother or sister. 2 days for a brother-in-law or sister-in-law. 1 day for any other close relative not mentioned above. Additional time may be granted when travel for funeral is required, at supervisor’s discretion.

Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.

Sample rates of pay, current:

Class 1: $34,509 per year to start rising in 6 years to $45,311

Class 2: $38,360 to start rising in 6 years to $52,766

Class 3: $44,066 to start rising in 6 years to $59,991

Class 4: $51,112 to start rising in 6 years to $79,987

Class 5: $54,717 to start rising in 6 years to $84,666

Class 6: $58,261 to start rising in 6 years to $90,063

Class 7: $61,821 to start rising in 6 years to $95,343
