Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 3, 2017, to July 31, 2020. Signed on Nov. 17, 2017.
Shift premium: $0.60 per hour for work performed on regular shift if 5 or more of scheduled hours fall between 4 p.m. and 5 a.m. Time and one-half for all employees whose schedule calls for work on Saturdays. $0.25 per hour for chief engineer. $0.50 per hour for chief electrician.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: Vacation with pay in accordance with regulations of Alberta to start, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years, 6 weeks after 25 years. 
Overtime: For part-time, casual employees: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours in any day. For full-time employees: Time and one-half for all hours that employees are required to work in any day in excess of number of hours prescribed in schedule. For hourly employees: Double time for all work after 10 hours per day. Double time for all work on Sunday. 
Meal allowance: If employees are required to work in excess of 2 hours after scheduled quitting time, or in excess of 10 continuous hours, employer will provide meal. If work continues for 5 hours beyond first meal allowance, another meal will be provided. If employer does not provide meal $8 (previously $7) will be added to net earnings for that week.
Medical benefits: Employer will pay maximum $200 of premium costs towards benefit service plan, administered by CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund, for each employee who works minimum of 24 hours a week. Employees will pay minimum $1 per month towards premium costs. Employees will be responsible for further increases to plan of more than $200 per employee per month. Employer will pay Alberta Health Care premiums.
Dental: Basic services: 80% reimbursement, maximum $2,000 per person per year. Major services: 50% reimbursement, maximum $2,000 per person per year. Orthodontic: 50% reimbursement, maximum $3,000 lifetime maximum per child younger than 19. 
Vision: $300 per year for dependants younger than 21. $300 every two years for dependants 21 and older. 
AD&D: Coverage of $50,000.
Life insurance: Coverage of $50,000.
Pension: Employees hired after ratification or not in pension plan will participate in CLAC DC pension plan. Employees participating in pension plan sponsored by Maple Leaf Foods may continue or participate in DC plan. 
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, daughter, son, mother, father, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparent, grandchild). 1 day for death of sister-in-law, brother-in-law, stepparent, stepchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay. 
Probationary period: 500 hours of service. 1,000 hours for maintenance employees (previously 3 months).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Severance: $350 after 1 year of service; $450 after 2 years of service; $550 after 3 years of service; $650 after 4 years of service; $750 after 5 years of service; $900 after 6 years of service; $1,100 after 7 years of service; $1,250 after 8 years of service; $1,400 after 9 years of service; $1,600 after 10 years of service; 10-year allowance plus $275 for each year over 10 years; 20-year allowance plus $325 for each year over 20 years.
Safety shoes: Rubber boots will be supplied to employees at cost. $250 per year for maintenance, yardman, shipping, cooler employees with more than 6 months’ seniority for safety footwear. 
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide launderable outer work-clothing, oilskin aprons, oilskin sleeves, gloves, hair nets, head covering.
Tool allowance: $200 per year (previously $150 per year) for tradespeople of maintenance department. $75 per contract year for service technicians — after 6 months’ seniority — for replacement of tools.
