Renewal agreement: Effective June 18, 2018, to May 30, 2021. Signed on June 18, 2018.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective signing of agreement: 1%;
Effective June 1, 2019: 1%;
Effective June 1, 2020: 1%.
Paid holidays: 10 days, plus 3 additional days over Christmas period, plus 1 floating day to be taken during university’s Christmas break.
Vacations with pay: 1/4 of week per month to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 3 years, 5 weeks after 7 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 40 hours per week. May be taken as time off in lieu, maximum 5 days in bank. 
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, child, child of spouse. 3 days for death of mother, father, mother or father of spouse, brother, sister, brother or sister of spouse. 2 days for death of grandparent, grandchild. 1 day for death of aunt, uncle, nephew, niece, daughter-in-law, son-in-law. 1 additional day for travel more than 160 kilometres from place of residence to attend funeral.
Probationary period: 60 actual worked days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Severance: 1 month’s salary for each year of service, based on average annual salary earned as research associate in past 3 years, maximum 12 months, for research assistants who have held definite term appointments for 5 years.

Editor’s notes: Liberation time: Employer will provide $52,000 per year (previously $26,000 per year) for liberation time. If total cost of time is less $52,000 per year, employer will pay unused amount to union at end of year. Travel, other expenses: Reimbursements by employer will be completed within 40 working days of submission of expense report. Marriage: 5 days of paid leave in event of marriage.
