Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2018, to Dec. 31, 2020. Ratified on Aug. 17, 2018. Signed on Sept. 26, 2018.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 1%
Effective July 1, 2018: 1%
Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 2%
Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 2%
Shift premium: $2.50 per hour (previously $2.25 per hour) shift for all hours worked between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. (evening shift). $3 per hour (previously $2.75 per hour) shift for all hours worked between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. (night shift). $2 per hour (previously $1.50 per hour) shift for all hours worked between Friday at 11 p.m. and Monday at 7 a.m. (weekend shift). Effective Jan. 1, 2019: $2.25 per hour shift for all hours worked between Friday at 11 p.m. and Monday at 7 a.m. $1 per hour for health-care aides assigned to distribute medication. $1 per hour for work between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday if there are no RNs, managers or supervisors available, and employer assigns LPN to be responsible for resident care on weekend.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 10 days to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7.5 hours per day or after 75 hours per 2-week pay period or work on assigned day off. Time and one-half for all work after 7.75 hours per day or after 77.5 hours per 2-week pay period for LPNs.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums.
Sick leave: 10 days per year, will not accumulate from year to year. 2 days per year may be carried over, maximum 12 days accumulated.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Effective Jan. 1, 2019: Employer, employee contribute 2.25% (previously 2%) to employer-administered RRSP. Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 2.5% employer, employee contributions. 
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, child, parents, brother, sister, grandparent, grandchildren, those for whom employee is legal guardian. 3 days for death of parents-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. Additional 2 days of unpaid leave for employees who travel out-of-town to attend funeral.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum of 3 hours’ pay at straight-time rates or actual hours worked at time and one-half regular rate of pay, whichever is the greater.
Probationary period: 450 hours worked. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Uniforms/clothing: Full-time employees will receive 3 uniforms per year. Part-time employees will receive 2 uniforms per year.
