The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) union and Country Ribbon in St. John’s, N.L., reached a tentative agreement Oct. 19.

The tentative agreement includes monetary increases in wages as well as improvements in contract language, according to Jerry Earle, NAPE president.

Details of the tentative agreement will be released to members at the ratification meeting, which is currently being scheduled, said the union.

NAPE represents about 300 workers at Country Ribbon between the production facility in Pleasantville and the Cochrane Pond location.
