Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2014, to March 31, 2016. Signed on Jan. 20, 2016.

Wage adjustments:
Effective April 1, 2014: 1.4%
Effective April 1, 2015: 1.4%
Effective April 1, 2015: Additional 2% Northern Premium

Shift premium: $2.05 per hour for all hours worked on the evening shift. $2.20 per hour for all hours worked during the night shift. $2.60 per hour for all hours worked during the weekend shift.

Paid holidays: 10 days and 3 floating holidays.

Vacations with pay: 1.7 days per month worked to a maximum of 20 days to start, 4 weeks after 1 year, 5 weeks after 10 years and 6 weeks after 19 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond regularly scheduled hours.

Medical benefits: 85% of billed premium for a semi-private hospital room. $25 single and $50 family deductible. $7.50 cap on dispensing fees. $500 every 3 years for hearing aids.

Vision: $200 every 2 years.

LTD: Employer pays 70% of premium.

AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premium.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premium. Double the employee’s salary.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for employee’s spouse, parent, child or stepchild. 3 days for employee’s father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, legal guardian, grandparent, spouse’s grandparent or grandchild. 1 day for employee’s uncle, aunt, nephew or niece. Additional leave with or without pay may be granted if the employee is required to travel to attend the ceremony.

Seniority – recall rights: 18 months.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at time and one-half.

Probationary period: 825 hours worked or 8 months, whichever is first. Probation can be extended for 280 hours.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.

Community care coordinator: $32.32 per hour rising in 9 steps to $41.44
Waitlist planner: $26.67 rising in 3 steps to $29.99

Editor’s notes: Layoff: The employer will attempt to provide at least 1 week’s notice. Pregnancy leave: 17 weeks. Parental leave: 35 weeks. 37 weeks if pregnancy leave isn’t taken. Family care: 2 paid days for the purpose of providing or arranging for unexpected care of the employee’s spouse, dependants or parents. Standby: $3.50 per hour for all hours on standby.
