Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 1, 2016, to Sept. 30, 2021. Signed on Feb. 9, 2017.
Paid holidays: 9 days. Employees will be paid time and one-half for working on Family Day. 
Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 10% after 10 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 44 hours per week. 
Medical benefits: Employer will pay coverage for Teamsters’ Local 879 Health and Welfare Plan.
Dental: Basic/preventative: 80% coverage; routine and major: $2,000 per year. Endodontic/periodontic: 80% coverage. Major restorative services 50% coverage. 
Vision: Adult: $300 every 24 months (previously $200 every 24 months). Child: $200 every 12 months. Eye exams: $50 every 24 months.
Paramedical: $500 per year for chiropractor osteopath, naturopath, chiropodist, podiatrist, speech therapist, acupuncturist, masseur, psychologist, physiotherapist.
AD&D: $20,000 coverage.
Life insurance: $50,000 coverage (previously $20,000).
Pension: Employer will contribute $0.25 per hour to the Teamsters, Hamilton and Vicinity Ready-Mix Producers’ Pension Plan Trust Fund. 
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, common-law spouse, same-sex partner, child, stepchild. 3 days for death of father, mother, brother, sister, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law. 1 day for death of grandparent, brother-in-law, sister-in-law.
Seniority – recall rights: 18 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours’ pay.
Probationary period: 90 days. Probationary employees will receive $1 per hour (previously $2 per hour) less than applicable rate for position.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Safety shoes: $120 per year (previously $80 per year) for CSA-approved safety shoes. Only shoes purchased through employer-arranged, on-site vendor will be approved.
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 7.5% increase):
Assembler/trim/general labour: $15.70 rising 4 steps to $17.03
Material handler: $17.20 rising 4 steps to $18.53
Quality tech: $17.20 rising 4 steps to $18.53
Team leader: $17.70 rising 4 steps to $19.03
Lump-sum payments of $500 will be made in years 1, 2, 3.
Editor’s notes: Medical examination: If employee has medical examination during working hours, employee will be paid for time involved, cost of exam and not lose any pay. Supplemental staff: Employer will employ supplemental staff through employment agencies. Employer will pay union $250 per month for right to utilize supplemental staff. Teamsters’ industrial advancement fund: Employer will pay $0.01 per hour, maximum 40 hours per week to fund. Hearing aids: $500 every 5 years.
