Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 5, 2020 to July 31, 2022. Ratified on Oct. 5, 2020. Signed on Oct. 5, 2020.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Oct. 5, 2020: 2%

Effective April 1, 2021: 2%

Effective April 1, 2022: 2%

Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for all hours worked with first-aid training certificate. $50 per day worked for all employees who live with Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. $2 per hour employees working on other than day shift on 2- or 3-shift operations. 5 hours or straight-time pay as transition pay for employees, subcontractors who move to or from night shift.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 6% of each paycheque. 3 weeks per year.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Double time for all work on Sundays, holidays. No employee will work more than 1 straight-time shift in each consecutive 24-hour period; employee will continue to receive overtime rate after each shift until break of more than 8 consecutive hours occurs.

Meal allowance: Employee will be provided with meal, at no cost, when employees work more than 12 hours per day. Additional hot meal every 4 hours. Employee will receive one-half hour of pay for every meal not provided.

Medical benefits: Employer will pays $1.85 per hour for each hour worked by each employee to International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955 Health and Wellness and Trust fund. Effective April 1, 2021: $1.90 per hour.

Pension: Employer will contribute $5.50 per hour to International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955 Health and Pension Trust fund

Bereavement leave: 20 scheduled hours for death in immediate family (mother, father, brother, sister, spouse, children, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren, grandparents).

Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours of pay at applicable rate.

Probationary period: 400 hours.

Safety shoes: $0.10 per hour.

Uniforms/clothing: All ticketed trades persons, apprentices, service men will be supplied with coveralls. Ground workers will be supplied with coveralls when conditions dictate.

Mileage: $0.52 per highway kilometre for shortest route from Edmonton to point of commencement.

Foreman 2: $47 rising 2 steps to $48.90

Foreman 1: $45.05 rising 2 steps to $46.87

Certified journeyman/certified boom truck/side boom: $41.59 rising 2 steps to $43.27

Specialty operator: $38.15 rising 2 steps to $39.69

Principal operator serviceman: $37 rising 2 steps to $38.49

Intermediate operator: $29.82 rising 2 steps to $31.02

Ground worker 2: $27.42 rising 2 steps to $28.53

Ground worker 1: $25.58 rising 2 steps to $26.89

Ground worker entry: $24.24 rising 2 steps to $25.22

Editor’s notes: Accommodation: Employees whose home is more than 40 kilometres away from marwilling point or yard will be given free room and board. If employee prefers, employee will be given subsistence allowance of $195 for each day worked. Training: Employer will pay $0.21 per hour to Operating Engineers Local 955 Apprenticeship and Education Trust fund. Effective April 1, 2021: $0.26 per hour.
