Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2018, to March 31, 2020. Signed on April 1, 2018.
Shift premium: $2.25 per hour (previously $2.15 per hour) for each hour defined as evening shift; $2.65 per hour (previously $2.55 per hour) for each hour defined as night shift, provided such hours are more than 2 hours if worked in conjunction with day shift. $2.80 per hour (previously $2.70 per hour) for each hour worked between midnight Friday and midnight Sunday. $1.50 per hour when employer temporarily assigns registered nurse to carry out responsibilities of higher classification for 1 full tour or more. $2 per hour when employee is assigned additional responsibility to direct, supervise, oversee work of employees within own classification, be assigned overall responsibility for patient care on unit, ward, area for 1 tour of duty.
Paid holidays: 12 days. 
Vacations with pay: 1.25 days per month to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 3 years, 5 weeks after 11 years, 6 weeks after 20 years, 7 weeks after 25 years. Additional 5 days after 30, 35 years, for employees hired before Sept. 8, 2005.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after normal daily hours or after 60 hours per 2-week period. Double time for all overtime on paid holiday. 
Meal allowance: Employer will provide hot meal or $6 for nurse who works second consecutive full tour or after 2 hours of overtime. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Ontario Health Insurance Plan and for Liberty Health semi-private plan (comparable to Blue Cross Plan).
Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums for Liberty Health Dental #9 dental plan.
Vision: Maximum $450 every 24 months, with ability to use coverage for laser surgery. 1 eye exam per insured person every 24 months.
Paramedical: Maximum $400 per insured person per year for chiropractic, massage therapy, physiotherapy for each service. $800 per year total combined coverage for mental health services by psychologist, registered psychotherapist, social workers.
LTD: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums for HOODIP (Hospitals of Ontario Disability Income Program) or equivalent plan. 
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (parent, brother, sister, spouse, son, daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent, grandparent of spouse, grandchild). 1 day for death of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew. Employer may extend leave, with or without pay, particularly where extensive travel is required. Employee will be granted flexibility to distribute bereavement leave entitlement over 2 occasions, maximum 4 days in total, in order to accommodate religious and cultural diversity.
Seniority – recall rights: 36 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at time and one-half. 
Probationary period: 70 tours worked from date of last hire; 525 hours of work for nurses whose regular hours of work are other than standard work day. 
Severance: 2 weeks’ salary for each year of service, maximum of 16 weeks’ pay, and $3,000 reimbursed for tuition fees within 12 months within 30 days of layoff notice. 4 weeks’ salary for each year of service and $1,250 reimbursed for tuition fees within 12 months after 30 days of layoff notice. 
Mileage: $0.22 per kilometre or taxi far when nurse travel to hospital or to return home between midnight and 6 a.m. or at any time while on standby.

25 years: $46.76 rising 1 step to $47.57
Editor’s notes: Standby pay: $3.45 per hour (previously $3.30 per hour) for period of standby scheduled by hospital. $5.05 per hour (previously $4.90 per hour) for paid holiday. Hearing aids: Maximum $700 per person every 36 months.
