Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2018, to Dec. 31, 2019. Ratified on Feb. 6, 2018. Signed on March 2, 2018.
Shift premium: $0.75 per hour to maintenance employees for any part of shift outside regular working hours, except when major portion of employee’s workday falls outside regular working day. Will include all scheduled shifts on Saturdays or Sundays. $1.25 per hour for any part of shift that falls between 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. $6 per day (previously $0.75 per hour) for employees — excluding maintenance, dietary evenings and dietary nights — working between 11:59 p.m. Friday to 00:01 a.m. Monday. $1 per hour for all hours while training.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 16 years, 6 weeks after 24 years, 7 weeks after 30 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work outside employee’s regular work day, regular work week or on holiday. May be taken as time off in lieu, must be used within 6 months (previously 45 days) after being earned or it will be paid out. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums. $200 per year health spending account
Dental: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums. 80% for basic services. 50% for major services. Maximum $1,500 per year per family member for basic, major. 50% for orthodontic services, maximum $1,500 one-time only per family member. 
Vision: $200 of coverage every two years.
Sick leave: 1 hour for each 14.5 hours worked, maximum 120 hours per year, total maximum 1,200 hours. 
Life insurance: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employees pays 20% of premiums.
Pension: Nursing Homes and Related Industries Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of parent, spouse, child, sibling, grandparent, grandchild (of employee or of employee’s spouse), any other relative who has been residing in same household. 2 additional days if burial occurs outside province. One-half day when required to attend funeral as pallbearer.
Seniority – recall rights: 365 days. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay at overtime rates.
Probationary period: 3 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Tool allowance: Employer will supply all tools and equipment required by employees.
