Ratification vote to be held on April 11: Union
PortsToronto and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) — representing 91 of its employees — reached a tentative agreement on March 30.
"PortsToronto and CUPE 416 are pleased to announce the parties have reached a tentative collective agreement subject to ratification" said the Toronto Civic Employees Union (TCEU), Local 416 of CUPE and PortsToronto in a joint statement.
The parties reached the agreement following a lengthy bargaining session. A ratification vote will be held on April 11, said the union.
Details are not being released.
CUPE 416 represents airfield maintenance workers, fire fighters, ferry operators, electricians and specialized staff at PortsToronto, which manages Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.
