Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2017, to March 31, 2022. Ratified on Aug. 9, 2017. Signed on Sept. 12, 2017.
Shift premium: $0.72 per hour for employees who work shift schedule that involves 7-day week operation. $2 per hour for all work between 7:30 p.m. and 7:35 a.m. $0.30 per hour for employee who has obtained 1 or more of listed proficiency certificates: mine foreman, provincial blaster, journeyperson welder, journeyperson electrician, journeyperson mechanic, journeyperson machinist, journeyperson millwright, crane operator (65-ton), mine-rescue personnel. $1 per hour for work as relief foreman. $1 per hour for lead hand.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 2 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 30 years. Maximum 1 week may be carried over. 
Overtime: Double time for work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of Alberta Health Care premiums. Employer will provide $200 per year for health-spending account. 
Dental: 100% coverage for basic dental benefits. 50% coverage, lifetime maximum $4,000 per person (previously $3,000 per person) for orthodontia. 
Vision: $400 per family member (previously $300 per family member) every 24 months. $90 for eye exams: Once every 24 months per family member, once every 12 months for dependent children 18 years old or younger.
STD: 66 2/3% (previously 60%) of base rate multiplied by 2,184 hours per year, maximum 52 weeks. 
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 60 2/3% (previously 55%) of base rate multiplied by 2,184 hours per year, after 52 weeks.
Pension: Defined contribution pension plan. Option A: Employer will contribute 6% base rate for base hours, employee contributes 1%. Option B: Employer will contribute 7% base rate for base hours, employee contributes 2%. Option C: Employer will contribute 8% base rate for base hours, employee contributes 3%. Employer will contribute 2% into group RRSP. 
Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (mother, father, stepparents, children, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, wards, legal guardians, grandchildren, spouse, brothers, sisters, mother-in-law, father-in-law). 3 days for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparents, grandparents-in-law. Employees acting as pallbearers will receive unpaid days off upon request.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ at overtime rate.
Probationary period: 120 days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Severance: $1,750 per year of service, maximum 24 years. 
Safety shoes: Employer will pay $13 per month for boot and work clothing allowance. 
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide masks, goggles, gloves, leather aprons and arms, hip boots.

Production 
Dragline operator, shovel operator, front-end loader operator, tipple/humalite operator: $44.36 rising 4 steps to $46.62
Dragline oiler, relief operator: $40.34 rising 4 steps to $42.39
Shovel oiler, dragline oiler, dozer operator, scraper operator, grader operator, haul-truck operator, pump man, track-hoe operator, serviceman: $39.93 rising 4 steps to $41.96
Labourer: $33.54 rising 4 steps to $35.24
Apprentices
First-year 82% of journeyperson rate: $38.87 rising 4 steps to $40.84
Second-year 86.5% of journeyperson rate: $41 rising 4 steps to $43.09
Third-year 91 % of journeyperson rate: $43.13 rising 4 steps to $45.33
Fourth-year 95.5% of journeyperson rate: $45.27 rising 4 steps to $47.57
