Deal includes $1,000 signing bonus, $500 lump-sum payment: UFCW
United Food and Commercial Workers Canada (UFCW), Local 501 members at Molson-Coors recently achieved a new contract on Aug. 20 that will affect 115 employees in Quebec.
Working at Molson-Coors locations in Quebec City, Trois-Rivières and Val-d’Or, Local 501 members will see gains with their new contract, including annual wage increases between one and 1.5 per cent for members at the end rate on the wage scale, a $1,000 signing bonus, a $500 lump-sum payment in the second year of the deal and an increase to the DC pension plan for the optional portion of employees at level 7, said the union.
Employees will also receive $250 per year of eligibility for putting money into a RRSP, a $55 premium for night stays away from home and an increase to the boot allowance, said UFCW.
