Renewal agreement: Effective July 6, 2021 to Dec. 31, 2023. Signed on July 6, 2021.

Wage adjustments:

Effective date of ratification: 2%

Effective Jan. 1, 2022: 2%

Effective Jan. 1, 2023: 2%

Shift premium: Effective Jan. 1, 2023: $1.50 per hour for all hours worked between 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. (night shift). Effective Jan. 1, 2023: $1.25 per hour for all hours worked between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday (weekend shift).

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 2 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years for permanent full-time and permanent (benefit-eligible) part-time employees. 2 weeks or 4% to start, 6% after 2 years, 8% after 8 years, 10% after 15 years for permanent (non-benefit-eligible) part-time and casual employees. Permanent (non-benefit-eligible) part-time employees are entitled to take 2 weeks of unpaid vacation time per vacation year.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 75 hours biweekly.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 80% reimbursement of basic dental expenses, including exams and cleaning once every 9 months, X-rays, fillings, endodontics, periodontics; 50% reimbursement of major expenses, including crowns, bridges, dentures. Basic and major expenses are limited to combined maximum of $1,500 per person per year.

Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $175 in 24-month period. Eye exams covered once per 24-month period with maximum of $50.

Paramedical: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $350 per practitioner per year, including chiropractor, speech therapist, podiatrist, clinical psychologist, physiotherapist, osteopath, naturopath, massage therapist.

Sick leave: 52.5 hours per year for full-time and part-time (benefit-eligible) employees. Part-time (non-benefit-eligible) and casual employees are not eligible for paid sick days.

AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 1 -times annual earnings.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 1-times annual earnings.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse (including common-law spouse, same-sex partner), child. 3 days for death in immediate family (parent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, stepparent, grandparent, sister, brother, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandchild). Additional 2 days of unpaid leave for employees who must travel out of town to attend funeral.

Seniority – recall rights: 18 months for full-time employee on layoff; 12 months for part-time employee who has not been scheduled to work for 12 months; 24 months for employee absent from work due to illness or accident.

Probationary period: 450 hours worked (both sides may also agree to mutually extend probationary period).

Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for disciplinary letter of reprimand, suspension or other disciplinary sanctions (leaves of absence in excess of 30 continuous calendar days will not count towards 24-month period).

Uniforms/clothing: $0.08 per hour worked for employees who are required to wear uniform.
