Provincewide, Ontario (1,700 construction workers) and International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers
Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2016, to April 30, 2019. Signed on April 25, 2016.
Paid holidays: 10 days.
Vacations with pay: 10% pay.
Overtime: Double time for all work after 12:01 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays.
Meal allowance: Hot meal will be provided for overtime more than 2 hours and each subsequent 4 hours thereafter.
Medical benefits: Iron Workers Central Welfare Fund. Employer will contribute $3.80 per hour (previously $3.44 per hour) for Windsor, London, Sarnia, Hamilton, Thunder Bay, Ottawa, Sudbury employees and $3.10 per hour (previously $2.85 per hour) for Toronto employees.
Pension: Ironworkers Ontario Pension Fund. Employer will contribute $7.30 per hour (previously $7.01 per hour; $6.80 per hour for Toronto) for Windsor, London, Sarnia, Hamilton, Thunder Bay, Ottawa, Sudbury, Toronto employees.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply work gloves, pliers, reels at cost.
Tool allowance: Rodman will furnish: pliers, belt and belt assembly, reel, tape.
Mileage: $0.46 per kilometre for London only.

Editor’s notes: Equipment insurance: Employer will maintain insurance to cover employee’s clothing and tools, while on company property, or in company change houses, against loss or damage by fire, or theft by forcible entry, maximum $600 per employee. $1,000 per employee for staying in a camp. Coroner’s inquest allowance: Employee who is required to attend coroner’s inquest into job-site fatality and does not get paid for time required to attend inquest will be paid $150 per day, maximum 2 days.
