Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 12, 2015, to Dec. 31, 2017. Signed on Jan. 12, 2015. Wage adjustments: Effective Jan. 1, 2016: 2.5% Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 2.5% Calculated by CLR. Shift premium: $4 per hour for foremen. 50¢ per hour for work performed on waterproofing and for work performed on vertical walls below ground for cold applied emulsions. Paid holidays: 10 days. Vacations with pay: 10%. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond 50 hours per week. Double time for all hours worked on Saturday, Sunday and legal holidays. Meal allowance: A hot meal will be provided when employees are required to work more than 10 hours without prior notice or 1 hour’s pay in lieu of a meal. Bereavement leave: 2 days for employee’s spouse, child, father, mother, father-in-law, motherin-law, brother, sister, grandparent or grandchild. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours at regular rate of pay. Uniforms/clothing: The employer provides rubber gloves. Mileage: 42¢ per km when employees are required to use their own vehicle to travel more than 25 km from the designated Town Hall. Sample rates of pay (current, after 2.5% increase): Roofers: $27.23 per hour Editor’s notes: Overlapping shifts: In the case of 2 or more shifts being employed on a job site, exclusive of overtime and holidays, the rate shall be 11 hours pay for 10 hours worked for the 2nd shift. Reporting pay: Employees who report for work, without having been told in advance not to report, will be given 2 hours’ pay at the regular rate except where work is unavailable due to circumstances such as fire, flood inclement weather strikes or work stoppages.
