Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2020. Ratified on June 28, 2018. Signed on June 28, 2018.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective July 1, 2017: 0% 
Effective July 1, 2018: 0%
Effective July 1, 2019: Wage reopener
Shift premium: 5% of current salary where academic staff member qualifies in acting-incumbency position.
Paid holidays: 12 days, plus Christmas floater day, plus work days between Boxing Day, New Year’s Day.
Vacations with pay: 3.5 days per month to start, 43 days per year after 1 year for instructors, educational counsellors. 2 days per month to start, 25 days after 1 year, 30 days after 5 years, 40 days after 10 years for librarians. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of normal hours of work.
Medical benefits: Employee may enroll in standard benefit plan or enhanced benefit plan. Employer will provide $650 per year (previously $650 per year) for health spending account, which cannot be carried over into subsequent years. 
Sick leave: After 1 year of service, 10 days per year for casual illnesses.
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for employees hired before July 1, 2007; Employee pays 100% of premiums if hired after July 1, 2007. Coverage of 70% of monthly salary, maximum $4,000 per month, after 80 days of illness. 
Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan or SAIT Defined Contribution Registered Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 10 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, common-law partner, any of following relations of employee or spouse: (including common-law spouse/partner), parents, child, guardian, parent-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, spouse/partner of any of them).
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months commencing with first day of month following release of employee.
Probationary period: 12 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for disciplinary action of less than 5 days; 48 months for disciplinary action of more than 5 days.
Uniforms/clothing: When employer determines that uniforms, coveralls, smocks, or other items should be provided for protection of employees, personal garments, such items will be provided, cleaned and replaced.

Editor’s notes: Professional development: $800 per 24-month period for each salaried academic staff member for individual short-term professional development. Managing-life leave: 2 days per year for administration of estate; moving household effects; disaster conditions; attend funerals as pallbearer or mourner; be present at birth or adoption proceedings of academic staff member’s child; attend formal hearing to become Canadian citizen. Long-service allowance: $3,000 per year after 10 years of service if employee has received, in 2 prior years, and continues to receive, satisfactory performance review. Allowance will be paid monthly. Education allowance: $4,500 per year for each instructor who has earned doctoral degree; $3,000 per year for each instructor who has earned master’s degree; $1,500 per year for each instructor who has earned baccalaureate degree; $1,500 per year for each instructor who has earned 2 Red Seal-endorsed trade certificates. $4,500 per year for each educational counselor or librarian who has earned doctoral degree.
