Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2017. Signed on Jan. 1, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Jan. 1, 2016: 1%
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 1%
Shift premium: Back shift: $1.50 per hour for all hours worked between midnight and 8 a.m.
Paid holidays: 11 days plus 1 floater day. 
Vacations with pay: 1 week after 6 months, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks (plus 1 day every 2 years, maximum 5 weeks) after 10 years. Extra 1.5 days per week for every eligible week if 10-year employee takes vacation between Jan. 1 and April 1. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. 
Meal allowance: Adequate meal will be provided for working more than 2 hours of overtime, and every subsequent 4 hours. $25 will be given if no meal can be provided.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 
Sick leave: 10 days per year, plus 2 personal days.
Pension: Employer, employee each contribute 50% of 8% of gross pay into RRSP.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse), son, daughter, mother, father, spouse (including common-law spouse) of mother, father, sister, brother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, spouse of mother-in-law (including common-law spouse), spouse of father-in-law (including common-law spouse), grandparents, any relative who resides in employee’s household). 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law or to attend funeral of fellow employee. 
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months. 
Probationary period: 90 days. 
Severance: 0 to 3 years: 2 weeks’ pay. 3 to 4 years: 4 weeks’ pay. 4 to 5 years: 5 weeks’ pay. More than 5 years: 5 weeks’ pay, plus 4 days per year.
Safety shoes: Company will provide one pair of safety boots per year. 
Uniforms/clothing: Company will provide coveralls, winter jackets, smocks.

Head end technician: $27.19 rising 1 step to $27.46
Plant technician: $26.92 rising 1 step to $27.46
Lineman/installer first 6 months 70%: $17.87 rising 1 step to $18.23
Second 6 months 75%: $19.14 rising 1 step to $19.52
Third 6 months 80%: $20.43 rising 1 step to $20.84
Fourth 6 months 85%: $21.69 rising 1 step to $22.13
Fifth 6 months 90%: $22.97 rising 1 step to $23.43
Sixth 6 months 100%: $25.51 rising 1 step to $26.03
Customer service (first 12 months): $15.03 rising 1 step to $15.34
12-24 months: $16.26 rising 1 step to $16.58
24-36 months: $19.40 rising 1 step to $19.79
36+ months: $21.89 rising 1 step to $22.33

Editor’s notes: Training courses: Employer will provide steward with 3 days off with pay per year to attend labour management educational courses. Weather conditions: When reporting for work and employee cannot work due to climatic conditions, employee will receive full day’s pay.
