Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 2.25%

Shift premium: $1 per hour while employee trains another employee. Room service: In room-service department, 15% gratuity will be added to guest’s check. 100% of gratuity will go to server. $2.75 per hour (previously $2.50 per hour) gratuity and $2.75 per bag (previously $2.50 per hour) for bell persons. $5.50 for each room cleaned over and above 16 rooms within normal 8-hour shift by attendants.
Paid holidays: 9 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 20 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 25 years. Accrued but unpaid vacation pay for vacation years prior to current vacation year will be paid to employee on anniversary date of employment.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums. 100% coverage of basic; 50% coverage for major, orthodontic.
Weekly indemnity: 70% of lost daily wages, maximum 3 weeks following initial 3 days lost.
AD&D: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums for coverage of $40,000 (previously $30,000).
Pension: Employer will pay $0.45 (previously $0.40) in year 1 and $0.50 in year 2 for each hour worked by each full-time employee to RRSP established by employee.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, parent, child, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, common-law spouse. 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 consecutive months.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours’ pay at regular straight-time hourly wage rate.
Probationary period: 60 working days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Safety shoes: $85 per year for safety shoes.
Uniforms/clothing: Cost of all uniforms will be borne by employer.
