Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 27, 2016, to Feb. 27, 2020. Ratified on Nov. 7, 2016. Signed on Oct. 7, 2016.
Shift premium: $0.30 per hour for all off-shift duty work between noon and 4:30 a.m.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 4 years, 4 weeks after 9 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 20 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. If working compressed week, time and one-half for all work after 10 hours per day or 40 hours per week. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 75% of premiums for Alberta Health Care Plan.
Dental: Annual maximums: $1,750 for preventative care; $1,750 for basic plan; $1,750 for major plan; $2,250 for orthodontic plan.
Vision: Year 1: $200 per year; year 4: $250 per year.
Sick leave: After 6 months of service, 1 day per month, maximum 20 days.
Pension: Pension Plan for Employees of Sofina Foods/Aliments Sofina and Participating Affiliates. Employer will match employees’ contributions at 4.5% of regular earnings. Effective Feb. 28, 2018: 4.75%. Effective Feb. 29, 2018: 5%.
Bereavement leave: 4 days for death of spouse, father, mother, child, legal stepchild, brother, sister. 2 days for death of mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparents, stepfather, stepmother, stepbrother, stepsister, grandchildren.
Seniority – recall rights: 18 months. 
Probationary period: 90 days. 
Safety shoes: $100 per year for steel-toed safety footwear
Uniforms/clothing: Adequate and appropriate clothing, including special apparel employee is required to wear to safely and adequately perform work, will be furnished and laundered by employer.

Editor’s notes: Overnight stay: If truck driver is asked or required — after speaking to the plant manager to stay overnight — 8 hours of regular hourly rate per night will be paid. Medical notes: Doctor’s notes — when required by employer — will be reimbursed, maximum $50. Expenses: Truck drivers who incur expenses while carrying out company business (accommodations, meals, fuel) will be reimbursed.
