Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 1, 2018, to Aug. 31, 2021. Ratified on Aug. 7, 2018. Signed on Oct. 25, 2018.
Paid holidays: Employer recognizes general holidays in accordance with provisions of Employment Standards Code with addition of Boxing Day. In order to qualify for September general holiday pay, driver must attend all August start-up or professional-development meetings. 
Vacations with pay: 4% after 1 year, 6% after 5 years, 7% after 15 years. 
Medical benefits: Employer will provide $275 per year (previously $250 per year) for health-care spending account that adheres to Canada Revenue Agency requirements. Unused balance will be carried forward for total accumulation of 2 years with remaining balance forfeited.
Sick leave: 1.5 days per month of service, maximum 40 working days.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sister, brother, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandchild, grandparent, mother-in-law, father-in-law). Additional days without pay may be granted.
Seniority – recall rights: 15 months. 
Probationary period: 6 months worked; 4 months for drivers who have been substituting for more than 40 days in current school year.
Mileage: $0.58 per kilometre for drivers who keep bus at home and who are more than 15 kilometres from start of route.
Sample rates of daily pay (current, after increase):
Basic daily rate: $64.41 per day plus $0.21 per daily-route kilometres driven
Effective Sept. 1, 2019: $65.41 per day plus $0.21 per daily-route kilometres driven
Effective Sept. 1, 2020: $66.42 per day plus $0.21 per daily-route kilometres driven
1-time lump-sum payment of $200 before Oct. 15, 2018, to active regular drivers on staff as of Sept. 1, 2018.
Editor’s notes: Licensing examinations: Employer will reimburse drivers for cost of medical exams required for licensing. PD meetings: Drivers attending division-directed administrative and professional-development meetings will be paid $60 per day. Attendance will be mandatory. Start-up allowance: Drivers will receive start-up allowance of $60 per year to compensate for duties related to start of school year. Attendance bonus: Drivers will earn $50 per month for perfect attendance. To receive bonus, drivers must not miss any operational days per given month. Inclement weather: Drivers will be paid 50% of regular daily pay as compensation for duties performed on days when bus transportation is suspended due to inclement weather. Wheelchair students: Bus drivers transporting wheelchair-bound students will receive $10 per day per wheelchair-bound student. Special-event trips: $0.24 per kilometre plus $14 per hour for waiting, including 30 minutes for lunch when drivers help supervise students during lunch period. In-town/between schools: Minimum of $12 per round trip or $0.24 per kilometre, plus applicable vacation pay. Trip to shop for servicing bus: $15 per hour for travel time; $15 per hour for waiting time. Bus washing: $40 per month for less than 16 passengers; $80 per month for more than 16 passengers. Long-service bonus: $300 per year after 1 year of service; $550 per for 5 years of service.
