Winnipeg (30 deicers, pad coordinators, mechanics) and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), Lodge 140

Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 8, 2016, to Sept. 7, 2019. Signed on Sept. 9, 2016.
Shift premium: Quality assurance: $2 per hour.
Paid holidays: 10 days. 
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month or 4%, maximum 10 days to start, 10 days or 4% after 1 year, 15 days or 5% after 5 years, 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all extra time worked. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for single coverage. Employer pays 50%, employee pays 50% for family coverage.
Dental: 100% coverage for basic services, maximum $1,500 per year. Orthodontics: $1,500 per lifetime. 
Vision: $25 every 2 years for eye exams. 
Paramedical: $500 per year (80% co-insurance).
Sick leave: After 6 months’ service, 1 sick day of sick time and additional 2 days after 1 year. Any unused sick time will be compensated at 100% if not used, 75% if used.
AD&D: Coverage of $50,000.
Life insurance: Coverage of $50,000.
Pension: For each $1 invested by employee, employer will deposit $1 into employee’s account, maximum 2% of base salary into retirement savings program.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (parent, legal guardian, spouse, common-law spouse, child, brother, sister, parent or legal guardian of spouse, brother and sister-in-law, grandparents or grandchildren of employee or spouse, any relative of employee who resides in employee’s household). Additional 7 days if death is outside of Canada.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at time and one-half.
Probationary period: 120 days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Safety shoes: $100 per year.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide for deicing and maintenance staff: 4 shirts, 3 pants, winter jacket, 1 rain suit, 1 set ear protectors, 1 pair long-sleeve regular coveralls (maintenance staff only), 2 pairs of winter and summer work gloves.
Tool allowance: $550 per year for employees in mechanic classification.
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after increase):
De-icers: $11.60 rising 5 steps to $15.19
Pad coordinators: $17.50 rising 3 steps to $20.50
Mechanics: $30 rising 5 steps to $36
Editor’s notes: Safety glasses: Employer will contribute 100% of cost of the C.S.A., or equivalent, approved glasses for mechanics. Employees will pay 100% for replacement costs for earmuffs or glasses. Mechanic licencing: Employer will reimburse mechanic 100% of licence fees, maximum $120 every three years.
