Tentative agreement reached at Autobus DL in Quebec

A tentative agreement was reached on April 18 between the Teamsters, Local 106 and managers at Autobus DL.

The deal will affect 30 school bus drivers, said the union.

Between 3,000 to 3,500 students at the Eastern Townships School Board and the Commission scolaire du Val-des-Cerf will continue receiving school bus service next week. Workers had previously voted on April 10 to authorize strike action, according to Teamsters.

The employer’s proposals will be presented at a union meeting next week by Sylvie Duval, business agent at Teamsters, Local 106, said the union.

Teamsters represent about 125,000 members in Canada, including more than 1,000 school bus drivers in Quebec.
