Wage adjustments:
Effective Sept. 1, 2017: 0%
Effective Sept. 1, 2018: 1.5%
Effective Sept. 1, 2019: 1.5%
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 1 week after 3 months, 2 weeks after 2 years, 4 weeks after 4 years, 5 weeks after 6 years, 6 weeks after 8 years, 8 weeks after 10 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7 hours and 40 minutes per day, maximum 4 hours. Double time for all work thereafter.
Sick leave: 2 days per month, maximum 90 days. After 1 year of service, extension after exhausted credits may be granted, maximum 15 days.
Pension: After 1 year of service, employees will participate in Local Authorities Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 school days for death of spouse, son, daughter, parent, brother, sister, parent of spouse. 3 days for death of grandparent, grandchild, grandparent of spouse, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, other relative who is member of employee’s household. 3 additional days if burial occurs 400 kilometres or more away. One-half day to attend funeral as pallbearer.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Probationary period: 3 working months of employment.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
