Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2017. Ratified on Feb. 9, 2017. Signed on March 27, 2017.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 1%
Paid holidays: 13 days. 
Vacations with pay: 15 days to start, 20 days after 5 years, 21 days after 11 years, 22 days after 12 years, 23 days after 13 years, 24 days after 24 years, 25 days after 15 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours after regular hours. May be banked, but must be used within 1 year, maximum 50 hours. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% for Alberta Municipal Service Corp. plan.
Dental: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% for Alberta Municipal Service Corp. plan.
Sick leave: 1.5 days per month, maximum 75 days.
STD: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% for Alberta Municipal Service Corp. plan.
LTD: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% for Alberta Municipal Service Corp. plan.
AD&D: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% for Alberta Municipal Service Corp. plan.
Life insurance: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% for Alberta Municipal Service Corp. plan.
Pension: 8.25% paid (previously 8%) into union’s pension trust plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, grandmother, grandfather, brother, 
sister, spouse, child, stepchild, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, spouse’s grandparent, person who resides in household of employee).
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Call-in pay: For water/wastewater level 1 or gas fitter employees: minimum 2 hours’ pay.
Probationary period: 90 days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 36 months.
Safety shoes: $200 per year (including GST) for CSA-approved safety boots.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide 1 pair of summer coveralls each year and 1 pair of winter coveralls every 2 years. Once per year, employer will replace 1 pair of summer coveralls.
Tool allowance: $600 for mechanics, shop foreman, $400 for welders who use own tools.

Summer student: $12.20 rising 6 steps to $14.64
Transfer station op., labourers, rental techs, ski instructor, scale house operator, senior transp. driver, gravel checker: $18.40 rising 6 steps to $22.08
Lifeguards, instructors: $20.24 rising 6 steps to $24.29
Pool manager: $23.79 rising 6 steps to $28.54
Light equip op: $23.99 rising 6 steps to $28.79
Water/wastewater - level 1: $27.71 rising 6 steps to $33.26
Heavy equip operator: $28 rising 6 steps to $33.59
Welder: $31.38 rising 6 steps to $37.65

Gasfitter (class A): $32.36 rising 6 steps to $38.83

Editor’s notes: Position abolishment: If employee’s position is abolished, 2 weeks’ notice for each year of service, maximum 43 weeks, or payment of regular salary in lieu — or a combination of both — will be given to employee. Standby pay: $3 per hour (previously $2.50 per hour). Long-service increment: 5% more than wage rates for full-time employee (or grader-operator with at least 1,200 hours per year) has satisfactory performance after completing 8 years of service. Power allowance: Grader operator who is required to plug-in grader at premises will be paid $65 each month for 5 months from November to March, maximum $325.
