Workers at the Toromont Cat Power Systems plant voted to ratify a new three-year collective agreement on Oct. 21.

“Congratulations to the members and the bargaining committee in securing funding to Unifor’s Social Justice Fund and Women's Advocate Program,” said Scott Mcllmoyle, Unifor Ontario regional council chairperson and president of Local 112.

Unifor, Local 112 represents 55 skilled trades and production workers at Toromont CAT in Brampton, Ont.

The new contract includes annual wage increases, improved contract language, an increase in benefits for work boots, orthodontist, dental and vision care benefits, said the union.
