Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2018. Signed on Dec. 18, 2015.

Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 3%
Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 3%

Shift premium: 75¢ per hour for afternoon shift. $1 per hour for night shift.

Paid holidays: 11 days. Time and one-half for all hours worked on a named holiday.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks to start, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 5 years, 5 weeks after 10 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for the death of an employee’s spouse, child, stepchild, parent. 3 days for all other immediate family members, defined as spouse, child, grandchild, parent, grandparent, parent-in-law, stepparent, stepchild, stepbrother, stepsister, brother or sister.

Seniority – recall rights: 90 days.

Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay when employee reports for additional work that is later cancelled. Minimum 8 hours’ pay when employee is called in and completes shift.

Probationary period: 3 months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months, given no further discipline has occurred.

Safety shoes: $175 per year.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer to furnish safety vests, safety glasses and gloves.

Sample rates of pay, current:
Locomotive engineer: $36.01 per hour
Switch person: $36.01
