Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2021. Signed on Aug. 4, 2017.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective July 1, 2018: 1.5%
Effective July 1, 2019: 1.5%
Effective July 1, 2020: 1.5%
Shift premium: 5% if employee is temporarily assigned to higher classification for more than 2 consecutive weeks, maximum 24 months.
Paid holidays: 11 days, plus 2 floating holidays. 
Vacations with pay: 1.25 days per months, maximum 15 days, to start, 1.67 days per month after 2 years, 2.08 days per month after 19 years, 2.17 days per month after 28 years. Additional 1 week after 19 years. For 12-hour employees, 10 hours per month to start, 13.33 hours per month after 2 years, 16.67 hours per month after 19 years, 17.33 hours per month after 28 years. Additional 40 hours after 19 years. Employees who retire will also receive pay out, maximum 25 days of unused vacation.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 35, 36, 48 hours per week or in excess of standard work week hours or after 12 hours per day. May be taken as time off in lieu, must be scheduled within 90 days and taken within 6 months of being earned. Maximum 80 hours accumulation. 
Medical benefits: Employee pays 15% of claims costs. Maximum out-of-pocket cost for employees: $450 per year for single coverage; $900 per year for family coverage. Employer will provide $525 per year (previously $475 per year) for family coverage or $300 per year (previously $250 per year) for single coverage for health-care spending account. Unused funds may be carried forward, maximum 1 year.
Dental: Employee pays 15% of claims costs. Maximum out-of-pocket cost for employees: $450 per year for single coverage; $900 per year for family coverage. 
Vision: $150 per year or $300 in any 2 years. Benefit may be used for eye examinations, laser eye surgery.
Sick leave: Maximum 15 weeks or 105 days per year. 
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premium costs for first $25,000 of coverage.
Pension: Western Pension Plan. Employer will contribute 7.5% to start, 8% after 10 years or service, 8.5% after 20 years of service. Employee will contribute 2.5% if most recent date of hire is on or after Jan. 1, 1991, or either 6% of regular annual earnings minus amount of CPP contributions or employee may reduce contributions to 2.5% of regular annual earnings if most recent date of hire is before Jan. 1, 1991.
Bereavement leave: Employer does not place unreasonable limit on compassionate leave required for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, same-sex spouse, parent, stepparent, foster-parent, mother in-law, father in-law, grandparent, grandchild, stepgrandchild, brother, brother in-law, sister, sister in-law, son, son in-law, daughter, daughter in-law, foster-child, stepchild). 3 days with or without pay to attend funerals of friend or distant relative.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months, 18 months when employee is grant-funded.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 3 hours’ pay at time and one-half base hourly rate.
Probationary period: 90 working days for continuing, sessional employees.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.
Severance: Employee’s regular weekly salary for non-overtime work week multiplied by number of years of service, maximum 30 weeks.
Safety shoes: $120 every 12 months when employee is required by employer to wear safety footwear.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will continue to provide winter coats on cost-sharing arrangement for positions in which employer previously provided coats.
