Employees looking for job security, schedule protection, improved wages: Union
Warehouse workers at AuctionMaxx, an online auction house based in Toronto, voted to join the United Food and Commercial Workers union (UFCW), Local 1006A on Sept. 1.
AuctionMaxx employees initially reached out to the union for greater job security, schedule protection and improved wages, said UFCW.
Local 1006A’s newest members work in the online company’s logistics centre, which stores a wide variety of AuctionMaxx items, everything from tools to pet supplies to jewellery, said the union.
