Renewal agreement: Effective Nov. 1, 2018 to Oct. 31, 2021. Ratified on Jan. 7, 2020. Signed on Feb. 17, 2020.

Shift premium: $3 per hour for all hours worked between 3 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Monday. $2 per hour for all hours worked between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. $3 per hour for all hours worked between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 116.25 hours or 3 weeks to start, 155 hours or 4 weeks after 5 years, 193.75 hours or 5 weeks after 20 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7.5 hours per day or 75 hours per 2-week period. Time and one-half for all work on assigned day off or for all hours exceeding 6 consecutive days without day off. May be taken as time off in lieu but must be taken by Dec. 31 or will be paid out.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 65% of premiums, employee pays 35% of premiums (previously employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40% of premiums). Desjardins group benefit plan, or equivalent, which provides 80% direct-payment provision for physician or dentist prescribed medications.

Dental: Employer pays 65% of premiums, employee pays 35% of premiums (previously employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40% of premiums). Desjardins group benefit plan, or equivalent, which provides for reimbursement of 80% of eligible basic services, 50% of eligible extensive services (maximum $1,500 per year), 50% of eligible orthodontic services (lifetime maximum $1,500).

Vision: Employer pays 65% of premiums, employee pays 35% of premiums (previously employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40% of premiums). $250 per insured person every 24 months (previously $200 per insured person every 24 months).

Paramedical: Employer pays 65% of premiums, employee pays 35% of premiums (previously employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40% of premiums). Effective Sept. 1, 2020: $300 for each discipline per insured person per year, maximum $50 per visit.

Sick leave: 1.25 days per month (168 hours) of service and will be accumulative maximum 80 days.

LTD: Employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40% of premiums. 66.67% of monthly earnings, maximum $2,000, maximum benefit period of 5 years.

Pension: Employer may contribute 2%, employer will match, maximum 2%, of employee’s contributions into group retirement plan, after 6 months of service or 1007.5 hours worked, whichever is greater. After 5 years of service, employer may contribute 2.5%, employer will match, maximum 2.5%, of employee’s contributions; after 10 years of service, employer may contribute 3%, employer will match, maximum 3%, of employee’s contributions.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family of spouse (including common-law spouse) or employee (wife, husband, same-gender partner, child, stepchild, mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, grandfather, grandmother, grandchild, brother, stepbrother, sister, stepsister, guardian. Employee may also be granted maximum 1 leave of absence without pay, after death of immediate family member.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs.

Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours of pay at straight-time rates or actual hours worked at double time regular rate of pay, whichever is greater.

Probationary period: 520 hours or 6 months, whichever is shorter. May be extended, maximum 3 months worked.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 15 months.

Mileage: $0.44 per kilometre when employee uses personal vehicle in performance of duties.

Step 2 (2,535): $19.63 rising 2 steps to $20.12

Step 4 (6,565): $20.87 rising 2 steps to $21.39

Step 5 (8,580): $21.56 rising 2 steps to $22.10

Step 6 (10,595): $22.04 rising 2 steps to $22.59

Step 7 (12,610): $22.70 rising 2 steps to $23.27

Step 8 (14,625): $23.38 rising 2 steps to $24.11

(Within 90 days of ratification, employer will make payment to address retroactivity, at 1.5% on all hours worked between Oct. 27, 2019 and first pay period after ratification, to all current employees as of ratification.)
