Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2023. Signed on April 4, 2019.

Shift premium: $0.03 per mile when hauling extendable platform semi-trailer provided that it is in extended position. $0.03 per mile when hauling extra-wide trailers requesting special permit or escort (minimum salary equivalent to 500 miles per day). Drivers will receive premiums to conduct B-Train: $8 for Montreal region to Three-Rivers; $8 for Montreal region to Deauville; $6 for Montreal region to St-Germain; $13 for Montreal region to Quebec direct area; $8 for St-Germain to Quebec area; $6 for St-Germain to Deauville; $18 for St-Germain to region Riviere du Loup; $10 for Riviere du Loup region to Quebec; $3 for Deauville to Bromptonville; $12 for St-Germain to St-Georges in Beauce.

Paid holidays: 9 days.

Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 10 days, to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 9 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 18 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 80 hours within 2 weeks.

Pension: Employer will make contributions to fund Fonds de Solidarité des Travailleurs et Travailleuses du Québec for employees working in Quebec and to similar funds for employees working in Ontario.

Bereavement leave: 4 days for death of father, mother, spouse, children. 3 days for death of sisters, brothers, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, spouse’s children. 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law.

Seniority – recall rights: 18consecutive months.

Probationary period: 60 working days worked in 6 consecutive months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 1year.

Severance: 2 days’ salary at regular rate of pay and for regular hours of work, for every year of service or 5 days’ salary at regular rate of pay and for regular hours of work, whichever is greater.

Uniforms/clothing: $200 per year for either company clothing (from employer’s boutique) or safety boots. Employee may also purchase work gloves. Employer will provide warehousemen with coveralls that will be replaced by employer when needed. Employer will provide employees who handle hazardous material with personal protection equipment (rubber clothing, goggles, coveralls, excluding thermal clothing). Shunters or any other employee required to work as shunter or yardman during inclement weather will be provided with protective clothing including coveralls but excluding thermal clothing. Employer will replace rain coats when needed, for flat-bed truck drivers with more than 1 year of seniority.

Mileage: For mileage eastern state short distance in U.S.: $0.04 for solo; $0.025 for team (rates include $0.09 per mile for on-road expenses or $0.045 for teams).

Editor’s notes: Medical examinations: Employer will pay for all requested examinations. If examination is requested after working hours, employee will be paid $20 and given at least 3 working days’ notice. Waiting time: Driver will be paid at regular hourly rate for all waiting hours, maximum 9 hours per 24 hours, and minimal equivalent guarantee of 450 miles at mileage rate per 24 hours.
