Shift premium: $0.62 per hour (previously $0.60 per hour) for second shift. $0.65 per hour for third (night) shift. $0.84 for employees working 7 hours or less on third shift. $0.50 per hour for group leaders above class D.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 25 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for authorized hours in excess of normal work day or work week; hours on statutory holiday; employee’s scheduled day off; hours worked within 12-hour off period. Double time for all hours worked on Sunday.
Meal allowance: 10-minute rest period, for employees who work 1 hour of overtime; $7 for employees who work 2.5 hours or more at end of regular shift.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Ontario Health Insurance plan (OHIP).
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for basic optical plan.
Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 75% for 15 weeks and weeks 31 to 52, maximum $465 per week (previously $460 per week).
Pension: Employer-funded pension plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 paid working days for death of spouse or child. 4 paid working days for death of parent, parent-in-law, sibling. 2 paid working days for death of sibling-in-law, grandparent. 1 paid working day for death of grandchild. 1 unpaid day for sibling-in-law not of employee’s immediate family.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay when called back after leaving work. $30 for each call-in, plus time and one-half for time worked for mechanics; $40 for each call-in, plus time and one-half for time worked for electrician programmers.
Probationary period: 65 days worked within 9-month period.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 39 months for disciplinary notations placed against record of employee.
Safety shoes: $130 per year (previously $110 per year) if required to wear safety shoes. $45 towards cost of second pair of boots if necessary.
Uniforms/clothing: Where uniforms are required by employer, it will provide 4 uniforms for females and 3 pairs of pants plus 4 shirts for males. 5 pants and 5 shirts for maintenance department employees. 4 aprons per year. $110 every 2 years towards cost of prescription safety glasses for welders, maintenance mechanics, maintenance mechanic trainees, electricians, electrician/programmers. $75 winter clothing allowance for shippers, receivers, and employees who shunt trailers.
Tool allowance: $95 (previously $90) for line mechanics, $230 (previously $215) for maintenance mechanics and electricians

Editor’s notes: Friday shutdown: If there is 1-day shutdown on Friday, employer will assign cleaning work normally performed by part-time employees on Saturdays to full-time employees at regular wage rate on such Fridays. Unpaid leave: Any employee with 3 years’ seniority will be allowed up to 4 weeks leave of absence for overseas travel every 3 years. Must be used after 2 weeks’ vacation are already used. Safety incentive payment: $75 per year to each employee who has at least 1 year of service as of June 1. Prescription safety glasses: Employer will pay $110 every 2 years toward cost of prescription safety glasses for welders, maintenance mechanics, maintenance mechanic trainees, electricians, electrician/programmer.
