Survey focuses on state of labour relations

Queen’s University survey open until Dec. 16

What does the present — and future — look like for labour relations professionals in Canada?

In an effort to answer that question, the Queen’s University Industrial Relations Centre (IRC) in Kingston, Ont., is conducting an online surveyAn Inquiry into the State of Labour Relations in Canada.

The survey explores the current and changing state of the labour relations profession in Canada, based on the perspectives and experiences of practitioners. It focuses on the knowledge, skills and abilities that are deemed critical for labour relations practitioners, along with the opportunities and challenges for the profession.

The survey — which takes about 20 minutes to complete — is available online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QUEENSUIRCSTATEOFLRSURVEY2011.

The deadline for completing the survey is Dec. 16, 2011. Results will be published in an upcoming issue of Canadian HR Reporter.
