Mike Bullard, host of the successful Canadian talk show Open Mike, had some fun with HR the other night. Three HR professionals from the Northwest Territories found themselves in audience hot seats. The conversation went as follows:
Bullard: So what’s your full-time job?
Audience member: We’re in human resources.
B: “Inhumane” resources? So, you’re the guys who whip people, and then human resources comes in to comfort them? So who do you work for?
A: The government.
B: The government has human resources? I didn’t think they cared.
