Canadian Society for Training and Development rebranding

The Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD) is set to unveil a new name.

Andy Foley, CSTD’s manager of experience, said the new brand — including a new name and website — will be announced on Sept. 21. There will also be a “bold new agenda that will enable it to wield great influence,” he said in an email to vendors about the upcoming annual conference. The CSTD’s annual conference runs Nov.18-20 in Toronto.

Among the goals of the rebranding are offering a “sought-after professional designation”and promoting the profession to the next generation of training professionals, said Foley.

The CSTD last changed its name in 2003 when the Ontario Society for Training and Development went national.
