Overall, 49 per cent of Canadians said they have personally experienced a mental health issue, with 37 per cent citing anxiety and 30 per cent citing depression.

But only 28 per cent said they discussed these health issues with their employer, while 73 per cent discussed them with a health professional.

Millennials, ages 20 to 34, are most likely to report mental health concerns (63 per cent), followed by generation X (50 per cent) and baby boomers (41 per cent).
