This dashboard provides an overview of job vacancy rates and payroll employment across Canada’s major industries from 2015 to 2025.
- Filters:
Use the dropdown menus at the top to filter by Industry, Month, or Year. Click “Reset Filters” to clear all selections and return to the default view.
- Job Vacancy Rate Over Time:
This chart displays the proportion of unfilled job positions (vacancies) over time for the selected industry. Use this to identify trends, seasonal patterns, or shifts in labor market demand.
- Payroll Employees:
This chart shows the number of payroll employees (excluding self-employed and contract workers) over time. Use this to track workforce size and employment trends in each industry.
- Canada Job Vacancy Per Industry Table:
This table lists, for each industry and period:
- Number of payroll employees
- Number of job vacancies
- Job vacancy rate (%) Use the table to compare industries, track changes over time, and identify sectors with high or low vacancy rates.
